As a trauma-informed ghostwriter, I’ve witnessed firsthand how storytelling transforms pain into purpose, fostering healing for both the writer and the reader. What moves me most about my work is creating a safe, supportive partnership where each client’s unique journey is valued and their voice is truly heard. I’ve sat with people processing sexual abuse, death, violent attacks, spiritual warfare, chronic illness, and more, bringing both my professional expertise and deep personal understanding to every project.
where my husband, Jimi, and I are raising three young children, Madeline, Lucas, and Amelia, and two giant black dogs named George and Kevin. And yes, thank goodness my office door has a solid lock on it.
Victoria Veldhoen (a.k.a. Vickie) holds an MFA in Creative Nonfiction (2019) and, in a past life, two Bachelor’s degrees in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. That combination means she’s equally comfortable explaining the human genome or structuring a memoir. Since swapping lab goggles for laptops, she’s ghostwritten books for scientists, athletes, world travelers, and grandparents, helping each find their unique narrative voice (and occasionally their misplaced commas). Vickie has a knack for turning complex lives into stories that feel both intimate and cinematic. Whether she’s unpacking the science behind innovation, capturing the adrenaline of competition, or preserving a family legacy, her goal is always the same: to make readers care as much as the author does. When she’s not deep in someone else’s life story, Vickie can be found training for her next half-marathon, leading a gaggle of five-year-olds in Girl Guides (herding cats has nothing on this), or spending time with her family. She believes every story deserves to be told with honesty, humor, and heart, and she’s happiest when she’s the one helping to tell it.
Kate Ramsay-Scott is a writer and editor specializing in personal development and transformative storytelling that inspires lasting change—both for the writer and the reader. With an MA in Creative Writing and a BA in Digital & Social Media and Professional Writing & Publishing, she blends a love of language with a deep understanding of what makes a story resonate. As part of the Alee Anderson Editorial team, she brings trauma-informed training to her work, gently uncovering the wisdom tucked inside clients’ experiences, then crafting those moments into compelling narratives. She’s especially drawn to stories of resilience, self-discovery, and those quiet, life-altering moments that change everything. When she’s not deep in a manuscript, you’ll find Kate hunting for NYC’s best matcha latte, wandering the aisles of her favorite indie bookstores, or curled up at home with her husband and their cheese-obsessed dachshund.
Alison Kilian is a writer and editor with a focus on personal storytelling that isn’t afraid to dig deep and get gritty. With an MA in Comparative Literature and a BA in English, she has always been interested in the craft of stories and has collaborated on more than thirty books. Known for her steady presence and deep listening, Alison gently guides authors as their stories take shape. Her work is rooted in curiosity and care, creating a partnership that feels supportive while allowing the author’s distinct voice to emerge fully. Her approach is shaped by a life lived internationally. Born in the US, she has worked and lived in Canada, Germany, Belgium, and Austria. These experiences have taught her to listen across cultures, with all the nuance that requires, and to navigate the grey areas that make stories human. When not working with authors, she loves to read, travel, and seek out cat cafes wherever she goes. Her greatest joy remains writing, and she can think of no better high than when she “falls through the hole in the page”—how Stephen King once described the feeling of losing yourself while writing..
Caroline Siegrist is an editor, memoirist, and collaborative writer. She loves helping clients find meaning, healing, and transcendence through the act of telling and refining their stories. Before writing full-time, she served as a chaplain in a major trauma hospital and cancer center, and she brings a chaplain’s gentleness and empathy to every project she works on. Caroline also spent five years freelancing for a parenting blog, helping other parents find humor, joy, life hacks, and—crucially—cute diaper bags. She’s had her own creative work published in many publications, including The Washington Post, Mockingbird, Rock & Sling, Hippocampus, The Tennesseean, Chapter 16, and more. When she’s not helping clients, she can be found coaching her kids’ soccer teams, devouring literary fiction, and becoming overly emotionally invested in every season of The Great British Baking Show. She lives with her husband, three kids, and the world’s least nimble cat in the Nashville suburbs.

Amber Martin is an executive assistant, writer, and editor with a BA in English Literature and a minor in Writing, Design, and Technical Communications from Texas Tech University. She is part of the editorial team for the Tolkien Society’s Amon Hen, a non-profit publication. She also helps with editing and social media posts for Hey! In her free time, she likes to read, crochet, and spend time with her family.
